Start of March

ECS Family,

      Last week in PE, each class played dodgeball or an obstacle course!  Both were great games of fun, competition and strategy.  I saw lots of great attitude and sportsmanship during the games this week.

      This next week in PE, we will be playing volleyball.  We will add more advanced techniques, like positioning, digging, spiking, and blocking.  This will be a great unit for those that are interested in playing volleyball next year or in the future.

    New Year, New Games

    Track Starts Today!

    ECS Family,       This week in PE, each class will be playing baseball and practicing Track and Field.  We will be using Wiffle Ball to teach the rules of baseball.  We will also be using hurdles, medicine balls, and the high jump pit to practice Track and Field.       Next week in PE, we will have our one and only dance day of the year, as well as our first workout of the year. For the dance day,  students will be learning dance moves to some of the most common songs performed at weddings and dance events. We will also perform a workout to assess each students' cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance.     Last Week of 1st Semester

    ECS Family,       The boys basketball season has now ended and the girls basketball season has begun.  The boys Varsity team went undefeated this year and won the league championship!  The JV team went 7-4 this year with some nail-biter wins.  It was definitely a great season for the boys!  They gave it their all.  I look forward to another exciting basketball season, with the girls team.       In PE last week, we played basketball... working on dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork.  It was a great way to finish the season with the boys and a great way to kick off the season for the girls.  I witnessed some great examples of fun competition, friendly encouragement, and complete effort. *December PE Students of the Month* Kindergarten   -  Kamryn 1st Grade   -  Delaney 2nd Grade   -  Danielle 3rd Grade   -  Frances 4th Grade   -  Erin 5th Grade   -  Blake 6th Grade   -  Levi 7th Grade   -  Alex             Let me know if you have any questions or concerns regardi
